teacher that makes a difference

my final year project is finally over. heh. i shan't think about since its history already. i am now left with only tests and exams which is like so much less stressful. good bye to days of project slogging, goodbye to team assignments.

got back 2 common test papers recently and i guess my hardwork paid off. when we do well in studies, everyone's happy. Dr Lim was really glad that i managed to keep my promise, which is to study. i did pretty badly for my first common test. scored like 68%. in fact, the whole cohort did badly. we broke the school record of having 26 pple failers and an average mark of 65%. that happened during the chinese new year and ya, Dr Lim cried while marking our papers. when we have teachers like this, it will make us feel bad if we dun study hard. she puts in her best, willing to give up her off days just to teach us. she takes twice the amount of time to mark our papers just to make sure that we won't lose hope but will try harder for her next tests. she is one teacher that is not only concern with the modules that she teach, but rather her students' welfare as well. i still remembered once, when i quarelled with kristie in class because she didn't do her part for our project. Dr Lim came to talk to me and asked me what's wrong. she's willing to lend a listening ear and also give some advice. i think she really deserve to get the best teacher award this semester. she is one lecturer that is without temper. no matter how unhappy she is, she tries to smile. this is my first time having a teacher that i can complain to, talk to and relate with. COOL!!

i missed TM session last sat and when i was back in church on sunday, alot of pple came and asked me where i was. was really touched by that. heh. should try that again. it's been awhile since i felt that way. after being a leader, its seems as tho im no longer part of YF, but rather, a helper of YF. my identity can no longer be found in yf. its quite a weird feeling tho. alot of my friends become my responsibility. i can still have fun with them but yet at the same time, i must ensure that they grow spiritually. come to think of it, my role in yf is like a big brother to all. sigh! its a sign of age. bleah.

You are a sock.

You are a cozy, fuzzy, warm-hearted person. A lot of your friends describe you as a hopeless romantic. You fall for the opposite sex very easily. But be careful, because usually you don't know what you are getting into, and because you are very sensitive, you can get hurt... especially in early relationships. Also, don't exclude the cold-hearted from your "want-list", because they just might be looking for a kind person to warm up their heart.... or a sock to warm up their feet.

Most compatible with: Toilet Paper.
