leaders retreat

Here’s an update on the leader’s retreat on Friday and Saturday
Suppose to meet them by 6.30pm at Newton mrt station but I was 10 mins late. Surprisingly, I was the first one to reach. Just when I was about to go toilet to shit, may fern came so ya, that stopped me from going since its not that urgent anyway. The rest of the people were eating at Newton circus. The auntie selling the stingray had this funky hairstyle that is even hipper than erm the foto taken by michelle in church during some night service. I was quite fascinated by her hairdo.
After dinner, we went to Joseph’s condo for a retreat. The balcony had this bird nest with 3 birds. They were quite puny and we were warned not to shout near there if not the birds will be scared to death. A lot of things that we do, joseph will remind us time and time again not to go so near the balcony cuz we will scare the birds. The retreat was quite packed. We had only like 2 hrs of free time in two days excluding the lunch and dinner breaks. What we did throughout the retreat was listening to talk, one after another with like 5 mins break after every half to one hour. It was tiring of cuz. I doze off a few times but no one noticed, which is good. Haha.
During this retreat, I got so much closer to Donavan. It was quite fun crapping with him. We were like suaning each other and playing bowling on my handphone. The loser will have to do 120 pushups for him and 180 for me (cuz I was better at that game). It will be quite unfair if we were to compete with one another so we set a target to hit and loser will do that amount of push ups. Anyway, he lost but I really din want him to do cuz he already stinks yet he refuse to take a bath cuz he was too lazy to. Bleah.
The guys were given a room that has one queen size bed and since nobody wanted the room, I took it together with Donavan. We left the door open cause we dun want to give people the impression that we are being anti social or something. Darren joined us shortly after that cuz of the guys outside were dozing off one by one. He slept in the middle, between don and me. About 2 hrs later, which was around 1am, I started exchanging secrets. We left don out of the picture cuz we thought he was already asleep. Did a test by calling out his name and shaking him a few times. There was no response on him so ya. Halfway through the conversation, Don started talking again. So all the while he was listening la. Haha. Wad an ass!!
The next day was bad!! I practically slept through the day thanks to MR DON. Think I am becoming more like Keith. Can sleep non-stop. Every time there’s break, be it 5 mins, don and me will rush into the room and sleep until someone woke us up. During lunch and dinnertime, we were too lazy to even go out so all our food was da bao-ed. Oh ya. We were planning to go swimming in the afternoon but no one was interested so the thing was cancelled. The retreat ended off with prayers.
Sunday I didn’t go church because it was my second cousin’s wedding. First one was last year and next year is my third cousin. All three of them are brothers. So cool right! One a year starting from the eldest. The wedding was held in the morning at 11am. My mum told me that I had to be there early and that’s the reason y I skipped service that day. The wedding was held in Hilton hotel and the food there was great, especially the cheesecake (that’s wad everyone says but I disagree.. I wonder y). Slacked at the hotel until around 4 plus cause the newly wed had to serve drinks to the relatives. Went home after that to rest abit before meeting billy kor kor (bridegroom) and family for dinner. It was a congratulation dinner cum farewell dinner cuz he’s a Malaysian and all his family members came from Malaysia to attend the wedding. So ya, had our dinner near goodwood hotel, some Thai village thingy. Can’t remember the restaurant name. So as to speak, the food there was fantastic and expensive too. It was the most expensive dinner I ever attended. The first dish was shark’s fin and guess wad, one bowl, which can serve 8 pple, costs around $400. Since we had 16 people, there were two bowls of it. There was a total of 7 dishes and ya. U can roughly guess how much was the bill ya. It was scary. During dinnertime, shaun had all the attention. He’s the most adorable little twirp I tell u. cute looking, smart, sociable blar blar. The moment I see him, feel like bringing him home already. Yup. So tempted to take a picture of him but my camera is erm bad!! What the heck! Wonder when will be the next time we meet. Maybe never. Bleah.
