ah beng!!

today's kinda slacked. went for early lunch (11am) because me and 2 of my supervisors got chased out of our own office because they needed to have a meeting. anyway, since we got nowhere to go, we went to eat prata at the coffeeshop nearby. after prata, we still had 2 1/2 more hours before lunch time is over thus, we took a bus to amk central to bowl. unfortunately, the bowling alley was gone, replaced by a billard hall so ya, played pool instead. i was hopeless in billard but quite alrite in pool. won my supervisors! i am the TAI-KO king!! on our way back, there was this man in his 40s bringing his daughter (2 or 3 years old). as we walked, all the flowery words came out. it sort of caught my attention so i gave him a look and thus, the flowery words came shooting at me. believe it or not, i was laughing at him la. he pointed his third finger, scolding non-stop, staring at me etc etc. i couldn't care less so i just smiled at him. he seemed to be highly irritated by my attitude. in my mind i was really thinking, is he going to come forward to beat me up or wad? seriously, wads the point of scolding me when all i did was to look at the way he scolded his 2 years old daughter! so this is the typical ah- beng in singapore. staring incident like this i believed to have ceased during my secondary school days (thats what i thought). maybe this old timer ah beng should really get updated on the style of the new century ah beng.
tomorrow i will be starting work at Pasir Ris, at a place called UMCI. dun ask me wad it means. i haven even visit the place yet. one thing for sure, it wun be slack and the pple wun be that nice and friendly as my supervisors. looking forward to my new workplace and may God bless me with a nice working environment and pple too. shall go slp now. la da doo la ding tong qiang!!
