mob outing

This entry marks the end of my holidays. Well, starting from tomorrow, I’ll be working at a far away island call Jurong Island. Hmm, come to think of it, it ain’t that bad since I think I have achieved quite a lot of things during this one month of break.
I can’t remember exactly wad happened during the week except for Friday, which we had our no 9th MOB guys outing at Christopher chia’s house. Eliel had a match on that day so we had to meet at like 9.30pm. The meeting time is kinda late but come to think of it, its just nice. As usual, eliel reached our meeting place earlier than us by like ten minutes. I felt really bad about it because he rushed down to meet us when we were slacking and taking our time to travel to our destination, yio chu kang mrt station.
First impression of Chris’ house: darn big, darn nice, cool, nothing bad came out la. Its sort of like my dream house. The toilet is quite classy except for the toilet bowl which has difficulty flushing. This defect was apparently rectified by a red toothbrush which connects the piping together enabling the water to release out with a pressure that is built up in the process itself. I was quite fascinated by the animals around the house, pets like snake, an exotic bird, rooster, dog, a dead crocodile, dead puffer fish, dead pangolin, dead giant crab and a dead flying squirrel or a baby kangaroo.
We slept at the dining room which was one level above the basement. His room can’t be used because firstly, its not big enough to squeeze 3 more guys and secondly, chris shares his room with Daniel. Its not very nice to disturb poor Daniel rite?
The first thing that we did at Chris house was to play badminton. The gate was used as a net so one of us got to get out of the house. As u know that that is a more dangerous position, being the oldest there, I volunteered to play in that court. Chris got to talk to his dad about some business stuff so he left us alone la. From this activity, I fully realized the potential in Daniel. Never in my life have I come across someone who has the success rate of hitting the shutter cork across the ‘net’ with a 0% accuracy! Had another game with eliel after the double-single game. This time round, I find it more of a challenge. Chris came soon after we(me and eliel) started and so I had yet another round with him. I tell u arh, he is really gifted in sports la. I think that runs in his family. His dad was like some big shot when he was serving in NS, got the best NCC recruit when he was still a teenage kid etc. Daniel was the top gymnast in primary school. Judging from all the medals the family got, it totally blew me away! Oh and they even had a glass cabinet to display the medals. I think all I need is a shelf and that’s it to display my like 3 medals. Its like peanuts compared to theirs. Heh
Supper at some uluated place was good for all three of them. I didn’t really enjoyed it cuz I am not used to Indian food. I dunno, u can say that I’m fussy but hey, I was born that way or erm SO SUE ME (quoted from Amy)! The soup kambeng (dunno how to spell) is green in colour and we ate it with bread. The colour of it is totally horrendous. Eating supper at midnight was not really that economical. I mean it would be alright if we have like some kinda transport but no! cab was the only alternative, other than walk which I would rather not cuz it would like probably take us at least an hour to walk back. From sengkang to yio chu kang. Bleah.
By the time we got back his house from supper, its already like 2am. Everyone was fast asleep and that means, we can access the basement which was previously occupied by chris’ dad who was doing some work there. The pool table was compacted but fun. I challenged chris to a game. To spice up the game, chris came up with the idea that the loser had to drink a glass of water with a tablespoon of chilli inside. Obviously, I agreed since I was quite confident of winning (hao lian). No la, actually it would be quite fun since I won’t be the only one drinking even if I lost the game. this forfeit involved our buddy as well who were preoccupied with some com game.
First round: I won
Second round: chris won
Videos were taken while we drank up the bloody water. The reactions were hilarious. Eliel spoiled the thing cuz as usual, he gave that stony face. But erm his stony face was kinda funny too. Heh
Towards the end of the planned out activities, when we were about to sleep, that exotic black bird, same family as the mynah, started chirping with its high pitch and extremely loud noise. A few minutes later, the rooster joined in. The duet lasted for like 4 hours until 9am in the morning. In other words, all of us were partially awake throughout the night. yup. thats it for the outing.
